Youth Governing Board Responsibilities for school year 2008 – 2009:
- Meet Quarterly
- Expectations laid out and agreed on
- Infrastructure needs to be in place to support new staff person when needed
- Review Stats
- Build the Budget
Go back to Middle School and Sr. High meetings:
- Meet Monthly
- RECRUIT people (parents/other adults) to help with events
- Need to have set meeting times at separate times so Youth Director can attend and provide information for proper planning
- Have 2 parent/adult leaders for Sr. High and 1 or 2 for Middle School
Other pertinent notes for Youth Board work:
- Establish process to fit Infrastructure
- Volunteers – big problem with coming in and not knowing what to do
- Recruit people not just parents
- Defined responsibilities/templates – use or improve upon what’s in place.
Agenda for May 10th meeting:
- Stats and Fundraiser dollars earned – year end (Myron please send out ahead of time for people to view)
- Define Expectations of board
- SHare Names of people contacted to help with Youth activities. (Action All)
- Mentoring and Small Groups/Leadership of parents (Myron agenda request)
